Maria Felipa Meza, 79, of San Benito, TX passed away peacefully on Monday March 25, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Our loving mother, Maria, was born and raised in Linares Nuevo Leon Mexico. She was married at the age of 17 to her loving husband, Ramon Meza, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. They had 5 amazing children: Silvia, Vidal, Raquel, Diana, & Ramon Jr. (+). Mami retired from the San Benito School District after 22 years as a Head Cook at Rangerville Elementary. After retirement, Mami traveled with her loving family and loved to gamble every chance she had, which was always. Mami loved her chickens and watering her plants. Mami lived a Fulfilled Life. Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S. Bowie St, San Benito, TX followed by interment to El Nopal Cemetery.
